Start Date...

I am soo sorry to not have been in touch since the Planning Meeting!

Alot has been going on, and though it is no excuse, I've been completely bombarded!

Some personal issues have risen that make me want to hold off on our first term start date. I will be keeping everyone in the loop so no worries!

In short, I may have to work weekend for a little while, and I don't want to commit to the school only to disappoint. Also, our landlord was foreclosed upon. We don't know where the rent we've been paying has gone, or when/if we'll be able to recover the funds. We have to move quickly.

I have also put off our handfasting date, as I simply don't want to be stressed out for the ceremony.

Please bear with me! I want to create a welcoming and stable environment for your child(ren)! once everything settles down, we will resume plans to open up the Sun & Moon Youth Group!

Where we're at now.

We're really coming along now! I can't believe how much interest there has been for this idea, and I feel truly blessed with this gift from the Goddess! I want to thank everyone who has expressed such interest in enrolling, support, and volunteering. You are all phenomenal!

Some updates have been going on around the site, so don't get comfy just yet! The basic curriculum for all our Sun & Moon youth has been loaded up, and more specific information will be provided after our planning meeting.

The Planning Meeting link can be found under the Important Dates tab to the right. It has been set for July 18 at 2 pm at Harrison Park in Marietta. We are hoping to have the pavilion reserved.

Also, there is now an Announcements tab located on the left of the page with reminders for important dates coming up!

So, with all that added, you might be wanting to know what is coming and what we'll be discussing at the Planning Meeting. Well, we've yet to decide on a specific meeting place, so that is definitely going to be brought up. We will also be throwing around lots of ideas about what each age group will focus on, presenting that material to them, and the community projects and fundraisers we will be participating in.

We are also planning on having lots of fun guests come to our meetings to demonstrate drumming circles, meditation, and storytelling among many other wonderful things!

Founded!

Welcome to the new Sun and Moon Youth Group of North Georgia!

I'm Taryn, the founder and operator, and I will be getting this site up and operational for everyone as soon as I can! I'm happy to be getting a youth group started for our north Georgia pagan children as they begin their journey on the path.

This site will feature our curriculum, dates and times we will meet, an about section, as well as a grouping of a lot of necessary things I will think of along the way.

Coming most quickly will be a newsletter sign up to keep up to date with everything going on with our Sun & Moon Younguns'. Don't forget to submit your vote in the poll for our meeting location! We will get specifics from there!
